This special screening will begin with a musical tribute to Reinhardt and “Gypsy Jazz” by internationally and nationally acclaimed local musicians, Don Vappie (banjo and guitar), Raphael Bas (guitar), and Matt Rhody (violin).  There will be a $15 donation at the door, with food and beverages available for purchase.  Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with music beginning at 6:30 and dancing is encouraged.  Seating is limited, so please come early (bringing your own chair is highly recommended).  Be sure to check for upcoming “Movie Nights” as this event is part of a regular series of Movie Screenings and live musical performances held monthly.

Since November 2009, CAOTA has brought a unique cultural experience to our community through silent film screenings accompanied by live music.  Whether it is through a Silent Movie, a vintage cartoon, or short clips and old commercials, CAOTA has transported audiences to a different time and place, celebrating musical icons, multi-cultural heritages and traditions, and a bygone era where music and film converge.

The Cultural Alliance of the Americas strives to foster interest in the exploration of cultural connections between people, communities, regions, and countries, while showing how those connections shape who we are.
